Customer Supply Executive (future Supply Chain Manager)

Carnforth, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About Northern Pasta Co.

We're on a mission to make proper British pasta -- grown, milled, and made in the North. Using regenerative British wheat and traditional Italian methods, we're creating something that's both familiar and totally new.

The past year's been huge. We've gone from farmers' markets to national retailers, from a small production run to tonnes of pasta heading across the country. But we're only just getting started and we've (genuine) plans to do the proverbial 10x in the next two years. That means scaling production, expanding into major retail, and making Northern Pasta a staple in homes and kitchens across the UK.

To get there, we need a supply hero -- someone to make sure every order, pallet, and invoice moves like clockwork.

The Role

This is the engine room of the business. You'll own everything that happens

from the moment a customer places an order to the moment it lands in their hands

-- whether that's a foodie ordering online, or a retailer buying by the pallet.

It's a mix of logistics, customer care, and good old-fashioned getting-things-done. You'll be the bridge between customers, operations, and finance -- and as we grow, you'll build out the systems and team to match.

In time, this role will grow into

Supply Chain Manager/Ops manager

-- leading forecasting, production planning, stock management, and logistics partnerships.

What You'll Do

Manage all customer orders

-- web, wholesale, retail -- from start to finish.

Coordinate logistics

with our warehouse and delivery partners to ensure smooth, on-time shipments.

Handle invoicing

-- ensuring customers are billed accurately and on time, reconciling orders with finance.

Maintain stock levels and system accuracy

, flagging issues and planning ahead to avoid shortfalls.

Communicate with customers

about delivery timings, order updates, and resolving any hiccups quickly and professionally.

Support demand planning and production scheduling

, making sure supply matches growth ambitions.

Improve processes

-- find smarter, faster, cleaner ways to run the supply chain as we scale.

You'll Be Great At This Role If You:

Love order, systems, and getting stuff done properly. Have strong attention to detail but can keep an eye on the bigger picture. Are proactive and solution-focused -- when something goes wrong, you fix it fast. Communicate clearly and confidently with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. Are comfortable with spreadsheets, inventory systems, and order management tools. Want to grow -- you'll have the freedom (and backing) to build the supply side of a fast-scaling food business.

Bonus Points If You:

Have experience in FMCG, food, logistics, or supply chain management. Know your way around Shopify, Unleashed, or DEAR. Understand the link between good supply, happy customers, and healthy cashflow.

Why Join Us?

Be part of a small, ambitious team building a brand with soul and momentum. See every side of how a food brand scales -- and play a key role in making it happen. Real progression: this role is designed to grow into
