Somerset Cancer Register (SCR) is a web application developed by the NHS for recording electronic cancer patient records. We have a range of additional products including interfaces and the Remote Monitoring System (RMS) which is used to assist with the scheduling and review of patients outside of a standard RTT pathway.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Senior Test Analyst, the Customer Support Assistant role involves:
Functional Testing of web applications and interfaces.
Raising issues found, proposing resolutions and dissing them within a multi-team group
Identify risks and issues on assigned releases, upgrades or changes
Report on status of testing and associated issues as required
Provision of general application support for SCR, dealing with system enquiries/problems/requests in accordance with customer service level agreement
Triaging, prioritising, assigning calls, and liaising with customers.
Liaising with customers / developers and scheduling SCR / RMS version upgrades
Continuous knowledge development regarding Cancer targets and datasets and changes to the web application.

Educated to Foundation degree level or equivalent experience gained through relevant work history (2 years in a similar or related roles)
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (Higher than C or Grade 4)
Evidence of own continuing professional development
