About the Roles
We're recruiting for
Customer Welcome Hosts
for
future opportunities
at
Derby Station
.
These roles are
safety critical
and are perfect for those who love being on the go, helping others, and creating great customer experiences every day.
As a
Customer Welcome Host
, you'll be one of the first friendly faces our customers meet. You'll help keep journeys smooth by:
Greeting customers at the gate and helping them find their way
Checking tickets and ensuring smooth travel
Offering information and support with a smile
Delivering brilliant customer service, whatever the day brings
Assisting on the platform when needed to keep everyone moving safely
You'll be working shifts, including some evenings and weekends -- every day bringing new faces and fresh challenges.

Training and Support
No railway experience?
No problem!
We provide all the
safety-critical training
and mentoring you'll need. You'll complete classroom learning on our rules and procedures, then gain hands-on experience alongside a supportive mentor on the station.
We're looking for
proactive, positive, and reliable people
who bring energy, teamwork, and a "can-do" attitude.

Because this is a
safety-critical role
, all successful candidates will complete a
medical assessment
, including a
drugs and alcohol screening
, before starting.
