Job Summary

The successful applicant will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to perform various cut and drill functions on structural steel beams, in a safe and accurate manner, producing materials to a standard of high quality.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

The job holder must:

Load commands ensuring correct tooling, speeds, and feeds are used for each operation. Select & load raw materials into the machine, ensuring alignment and fully secure. Prepare test sample to ensure machinery produces work according to specifications. Examine and measure finished product to ensure process has been completed according to specifications given. Complete inventory through regular stock checks, anticipating need with responsive ordering. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime. Monitor the machine during operation and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimum results. Comply with company Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and safe working practices. Accurately complete production and quality logs. Complete regular checks and maintain machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Willingness to complete continuous professional development to stay up to date with latest technologies and techniques. Any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the requirements of the job.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience as a CNC operator (minimum 1 year)

Skills & Knowledge

Skilled in setting up and operating CNC machinery. Good communication skills.Strong attention to detail Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
