A local authority based in Greater Manchester is giving you the opportunity to join their Children with Disabilities Team!

The CWD Team provides the service for children and young people aged 0-17, as caseloads are starting to see more prevalence of 16-17 year olds with autism, the local authority is willing to consider social workers with experience in adult\xe2\x80\x99s with learning disabilities as well as those working in children\xe2\x80\x99s services. Transferrable skills, motivation and the right attitude are all that\xe2\x80\x99s needed for this role.

The team are hybrid working with 2 days being based in the office where you can arrange to go on your visits, have supervisions and work alongside colleagues then 3 days from home for admin etc. This provides you with the opportunity for an excellent work-life balance.

Caseloads are averaging around 20, the team is handling a variety of cases with some being low level management who only need to be visited every 3 months and have a meeting held every 6 months. This role will give you an excellent chance to gain experience with a wide variety of service users as well as Depravation of Liberties and you\xe2\x80\x99ll also get to create and maintain supportive and collaborative relationships with parents/families as some cases will be held for a few years.

The ideal candidate will be:

• A Qualified Social Worker with up-to-date Social Work England registration
• In possession of a full UK driving licence and own vehicle
