The Cyber Architect will have responsibility to ensure National Policing systems and services have a clear strategic direction for Information Security and Risk (IS&R), through enterprise security architectural services, design services and carrying out product assessment and selection.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the design authority in business change decisions ensuring that all architecture activities and deliverables are consistent with standards, policies and strategies defined in the PDS Technical Blueprints.
Manage separation of control from technical design authority responsibilities - represent Cyber Services at technical and security design authorities to ensure that solutions are secure.
Define, design and interpret technical artefacts from business design specifications and capability to create solutions that meet business requirements.
Design and assess solutions using sound security architecture principles across PDS and UK police force environments, ensuring information systems are compliant with frameworks (for example, NIST, ISO27001, CIS and OWASP), applicable laws, policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with security controls to identify control gaps, develop remediation plans and determine residual risk across both local and national programmes.

What you need to succeed in the role:
Essential:
A minimum of 3 years of proven, demonstrable and current experience in a Security Architect role in large and complex organisation with equally complex service requirements.
Proven experience of delivering security in one or more of the following cloud service provider environments: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
