In short: I\'m looking for a solid IT BA to join a global energy company to assist in standing up a greenfield CSOC. Cyber experience would be nice along with any experience of the NIST framework. We\'re currently looking at the whole CSOC cyber tooling areas and need we need to know where the gaps are. We need you to find the requirements a define them so the Security Architect can turn them into reality.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team and support our organisation\'s transition to a new security environment. As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the senior security leadership team to identify existing processes that need to be established in the new organisation and translate their requirements into clear technical specifications. Your primary responsibility will be to document processes and write detailed requirements to ensure the successful implementation of security measures within our organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the senior security leadership team to understand their vision and objectives for the new security environment.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing security processes and procedures to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to document and map out end-to-end security processes, including identification, authentication, access control, incident response, and compliance.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, such as IT teams, system administrators, and security personnel, to gather requirements and ensure alignment between business needs and technical specifications.
  • Translate business requirements into comprehensive and actionable technical specifications for the implementation of security systems, tools, and processes.
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the new security environment and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct regular meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Prepare and present reports, documentation, and presentations to senior management, outlining project progress, risks, and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on emerging security trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a security-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts, principles, and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose effective solutions.
  • Proficient in process documentation and requirement gathering techniques.
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams and ability to influence decision-making processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are highly desirable.
