Cyber Computing Lecturer



Dumfries | 40,170 - 48,357 per year depending on qualifications and experience Pro Rata | 9.13 hours per week |Fixed term until June 2026



What's the Job?



We're looking for a talented Cyber Computing Lecturer to join the Business, Enterprise, Digital Technology and Creative Industries Department on a part time, fixed term contract. Lecturers are responsible for delivering all aspects of Cyber-related subjects as well as planning, preparing, delivering and assessing a range of qualifications up to Level 10 to our students in a College that aims to be one step ahead.

Who we're looking for



We are keen to hear from people with teaching experience and or industry /sector knowledge who can deliver a range of Cyber related subjects and who is a professional in what they do. You will have a qualification at SCQF Level 11 or equivalent.

You will have excellent communication and teamworking skills and the ability to work independently to achieve your teaching goals and experience of working in a similar teaching role is desirable but not essential. You will be expected to continue your own professional development, an important element of which is to be able to deliver lessons in a virtual and on-campus environment, which includes developing a working knowledge of the College platforms used for teaching and administrative purposes. You will have a critically evaluative and reflective approach to your teaching practice and endeavour to achieve and maintain high standards of excellence in all that you do. Experience using MS Office is essential and the post is required to encompass hybrid working.

All staff are required to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme, which is managed and delivered by Disclosure Scotland.
