Role Summary


We are seeking a

Cyber Safety Specialist

to join our dynamic team in Kent. In this pivotal role, you will help safeguard client information and enhance public safety through advanced cybersecurity measures.

This first-of-its-kind pilot scheme will involve countywide, in-person home visits to survivors of domestic abuse living in safe accommodation. You will provide specialist advice and support on cybersecurity--including risks linked to stalking--and promote improved digital safety. Areas of focus may include email monitoring, social media activity, internet history, and the use of smart devices.

What You'll Bring



Recognised qualifications and experience in cybersecurity and digital safety

OR

accredited as an IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor) or in a similar field. Strong understanding of, or lived experience with, domestic abuse and its impact. Training and knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities. Empathy, sensitivity, and professionalism when supporting vulnerable individuals. Ability to work independently across a wide geographical area. A satisfactory enhanced DBS check (essential).

Key Responsibilities



This is a new position. We are looking for someone to come in and help develop the role and the service delivery. Conduct detailed cyber security assessments in the homes of Domestic Abuse Survivors across Kent. Recommend a package of cyber safety support tailored to the needs of each individual service user. Develop and promote awareness of the pilot scheme, including outreach and engagement. Collaborate effectively with partner agencies across the county. Deliver training and practical guidance on cybersecurity best practices to staff and stakeholders. Support the creation and refinement of security policies and procedures. Stay up to date on emerging cyber threats and new technologies.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

OR



Trained IDVA (or similar qualification) with strong technical expertise in information technology.
