The Cyber Security Analyst ensures the deployment, operations and continuous improvement of security tools, technologies and processes that protect Global Relay as well as ensures advanced response to security threats and vulnerabilities. This is a highly technical role with an individual who must have direct experience in the following Information Security areas, access control, endpoint security, vulnerability management and cryptography. This individual acts as an escalation resource for technical issues associated with the analysis of event logs, system logs, and other data sources and for the determination of root cause and resolution of security events. The role includes incident response, driving threat intelligence capabilities and ensuring alignment with business and regulatory expectations. As well as evaluation of security systems and processes and working closely with but not limited to management, operations/DevOps, and development teams on security related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Manage endpoint protection software, including reviewing, testing, and deploying updates to employee laptops.
Investigate incidents end-to -end scoping, containment, eradication, and recovery.
Maintain clear incident records and timelines.
Execute and improve playbooks/runbooks, contribute to soar automation for repetitive tasks.
Collaborate with IT/Cloud/Network teams on log onboarding ,tuning, and control gaps, reduce false positives.
Assist with threat intelligence and analysis of attacks targeting employees.
Play a key role in protecting our org from phishing and impersonation campaigns.
Monitor and respond to both internal and external security threats, escalating as needed.
Support Vulnerability management by contextualising exposures and recommending remediation priorities.
Manage security incidents, escalating as needed.
Maintain and update security documentation and procedures.
Participate in security training and awareness programs for employees.
Be the first point of contact for security related questions across the company.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Minimum 4 years' experience of working in the role.
Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Familiarity with security monitoring and analysis tools.
Understanding of endpoint protection concepts and tools.
Experience with incident response processes and escalation.
Ability to identify and investigate suspicious behaviour.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest security trends.
A commitment to integrity, transparency, and excellence in all aspects of work.
Qualifications:
A UK master's degree in the Cyber Security would be desirable for this role.
Training:
A tailored development plan will be delivered covering all aspects of the role, including technical and non-technical skills. Support will be provided to gain certifications and accreditations.
