We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding organisational information systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and implementing robust security measures across various platforms. Duties



Analyse and enhance existing network security protocols, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure. Develop and implement security policies aligned with NIST standards, ISO , and ITIL frameworks. Manage incident response processes using SIEM tools like Splunk and perform root cause analysis for security breaches. Configure and maintain security appliances including firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and SAN storage solutions. Oversee encryption protocols, PKI systems, LDAP, Active Directory, and authentication mechanisms to ensure secure access controls. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on operating systems such as Windows, Linux, macOS, UNIX, and network devices like Juniper and Citrix. Monitor network traffic using network monitoring tools; manage load balancing and disaster recovery plans to ensure system resilience. Collaborate with IT teams to develop secure cloud architecture using IaaS/PaaS models; implement cloud security best practices for platforms like Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. Maintain documentation of security configurations; support system administration tasks including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP management, and shell scripting (PowerShell, Bash). Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats related to Internet of Things (IoT), DevOps practices, and cloud computing environments.

Qualifications



Proven experience in cybersecurity roles with comprehensive knowledge of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, TCP, UDP protocols. Strong understanding of network security principles including IDS/IPS configuration, firewall management, VPN setup (IPsec), load balancing techniques, and SDLC processes. Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST standards, ISO , ITIL; experience implementing incident management and disaster recovery plans. Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java; scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash are advantageous. Hands-on experience with SIEM tools like Splunk; knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud architecture best practices is highly desirable. Ability to manage complex systems involving LDAP authentication, Active Directory integration, DNS configuration; experience with Citrix environments is a plus. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA or CompTIA Security+ are preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess risk levels accurately; strong communication skills for reporting findings clearly. Pay: 35,595.49-55,411.57 per year
