We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cybersecurity practices and principles, with a focus on protecting organisational assets and data from potential threats. You will be responsible for assessing current security measures, developing strategies for improvement, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Duties
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities within the organisation's systems and networks.
Develop and implement security policies and procedures in line with NIST standards.
Provide expertise in incident response and incident management to swiftly address any security breaches or threats.
Collaborate with IT teams to design and maintain secure cloud architecture solutions.
Certify that all systems meet required security protocols and standards.
Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Support system administration tasks to maintain the integrity of IT infrastructure.
Engage in ongoing training and awareness programmes to educate staff on cybersecurity best practices.
Evaluate the security of APIs used within the organisation, ensuring they are protected against potential exploits.
Stay updated on emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity to proactively enhance security measures.
Requirements
Proven experience in a cybersecurity role, with a solid understanding of incident response and management processes.
Familiarity with cloud architecture principles and disaster recovery strategies.
Strong knowledge of NIST standards and ITIL frameworks.
Proficiency in system administration across various platforms, including Mac OS.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable but not mandatory.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.
