Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CyberSecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting our organisation's computer systems and networks from cyber threats. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Duties

Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard the organisation's data. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond promptly to security breaches or incidents. Collaborate with IT teams to design secure system architectures and ensure compliance with industry standards. Provide training and awareness programmes for staff on cybersecurity best practices. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to enhance the organisation's security posture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a strong understanding of network security protocols and tools. Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and other security technologies. Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR). Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
