IASME is a cyber security certification company based in the beautiful Malvern Hills, with offices in Belfast and Dalgety Bay, near Edinburgh. We work with over 900 cyber security experts to help organisations improve and show their cyber security. We also certify connected devices and ships of all sizes around the world. Through the Civil Aviation Authority's ASSURE scheme, we help the aviation industry manage their cyber security risks.

This role offers a mix of working from home and in the office. You will need to come to our Malvern office at least one day a week.

A BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check will be required for this role.

The Cyber Security Training Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in promoting IASME's cybersecurity training programs and the reach for these opportunities across the UK. This role is focused on driving business growth, fostering partnerships, and addressing the cybersecurity skills gap including by supporting entry-level job creation and improving diversity in the sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development & Program Promotion

Develop and implement the IASME Cyber Security Education Strategy to support entry-level jobs and improve diversification in the cybersecurity sector and fill skills gaps in the sector. Act as a subject matter expert on IASME's training and apprenticeship offerings, effectively communicating their value to prospective clients, educational institutions, and learners. Collaborate with the Marketing Team to create and execute promotional campaigns, webinars, presentations, and workshops tailored to target audiences. Proactively engage with potential providers across the UK to build a nationwide network for IASME courses and apprenticeship programs.
2. Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement

Identify and engage with potential clients, including businesses, educational institutions, and individuals, to promote cybersecurity training and apprenticeship programs. Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to understand their workforce needs and position IASME's programs as a solution. Build partnerships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, training providers, and industry associations, to expand the reach of IASME's offerings. Represent IASME at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise awareness of its educational schemes.
3. Apprenticeship Expertise & Support

Maintain a strong understanding of the UK apprenticeship system, including funding mechanisms (e.g., Apprenticeship Levy), eligibility criteria, and compliance requirements. Advise employers on accessing apprenticeship funding and guide them through the process of hiring apprentices. Stay up to date with changes in apprenticeship standards, policies, and industry trends to ensure IASME's programs remain relevant and compliant. Answer questions about IASME's education schemes from clients, educational establishments, and other stakeholders via Teams, phone, and email.
4. Reporting & Analysis

Track and report on sales performance, client engagement, and market trends to inform business development strategies. Provide feedback to the program development team to ensure IASME's offerings align with market needs and employer expectations. Monitor and grow the number of 'Providers' in line with business expectations.
Key Skills & Experience

Required Skills

Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the training, education, or apprenticeship sector. Strong understanding of the UK apprenticeship system, including funding mechanisms (e.g., Apprenticeship Levy) and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills, including listening, questioning, and empathy, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders. Strong presentation skills, both formal and informal, with the ability to deliver webinars, workshops, and in-person events. Proactivity, organisational, and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively. Commercial awareness and problem-solving skills to identify and address client needs. Networking and stakeholder management expertise to build and maintain partnerships. Teamworking and virtual 'team leading' skills to collaborate across departments.
Desirable Skills

Knowledge of the cybersecurity industry and its workforce challenges. Experience working with training providers, employers, or government-funded programs. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools

Pay: 38,000.00-43,000.00 per year
