JOB TITLE: Cyber Security - Undergrad Placement

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?



Deploy updates and fixes for a range of systems in Fibrus

Conducting vulnerability assessments on servers and end point devices

Configuring security tools including SIEM, anti-virus, firewalls and other security solutions

Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes

You will be assisting with implementing, assessing and reviewing IT security controls across systems

Monitoring logs and security systems to detect any potential security issues

Analysing alerts to determine any impact

Working with third party suppliers to reach support resolutions.

Resolve technical problems and escalate where appropriate.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?



You will be studying a degree in a Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or other relevant discipline.

A solid understanding of IT (hardware and software)

A solid understanding of IT security principles and approaches - knowledge of the Telecommunications Security Act is ideal however not essential

A problem solving approach, taking pride in achieving the best mutual outcome for the end user and Fibrus

Familiarity with a security standard such as ISO27001 would be beneficial

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
