CHEDS is a Tier 4 CAMHS Specialist Eating Disorder Service that offer intensive inpatient, outpatient and day patient provision. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Band 5 mental health nurse with a specialist interest in working with young people with eating disorders who will be part of the new and exciting CHEDS Day Hospital team at Ancora House and will have a key role to play in assisting young people in their recovery. The post holder will be required to develop and promote a therapeutic relationship with service users and will be key in the day to day running of the service and coordination within the MDT. The Day Hospital runs from Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Main duties of the job




To support and promote the maintenance of a team concept, working within a multi-disciplinary framework using specific skills and expertise in a professional manner which will place the patient at the centre of all negotiations enhancing/developing the professionals working practices. The post offers the successful applicant the exciting opportunity to join this team in providing the highest quality of care for our service users. This includes (but is not limited to) practical meal support and therapeutic group delivery. The individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 C's in practice, these being Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage and Commitment.
