Dad's Peer Support Facilitator

Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a Dad to provide a range of activities for new or expectant Dads/Co-parents which provide peer support and guidance through mild mental health journeys. To also recruit and train peer support volunteers to host groups and assist with events, whilst ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants.

The Steel City Dads service has been established over the last 18 months and we are looking for someone to grow the service. Your main tasks will be to increase the number of referrals into the service, increase the number of groups for those referred dads to attend, and to recruit volunteers to support the sessions. You will be supported to do this by our experienced communities team and the wider Zest organisation, who have been working with volunteers for 30 years.

In addition to working at our vibrant Zest Centre, you'll also be regularly out and about, supporting activities at various outreach venues and events.
