Job Summary: I cannot begin to explain what a great family this is to work for and such a great opportunity to travel for returning Eden clients. The family employ many staff including a full-time nanny during the week but with three young children they are looking to add another nanny mostly for the weekends when in the UK. The role is a mixture of sole charge and shared care; the nanny should be happy to work alongside the parents but also someone that they can trust and rely on to take sole charge. The family have a very friendly Labrador dog. The ideal nanny will love travelling and will embrace this aspect of the job, the family have great relationships with all their staff and will treat you very well. The family can also provide parking if you wanted to drive to work
Extra information: The family already have a full-time nanny who has been with the family for a few years, they are looking to ideally find a nanny who is happy to work weekends but has flexibility to work extra days in the week and can travel. Therefor the family will guarantee you a salary based on a 40-hour week although the reality is you may only work a couple of days while they are in the UK but still paid for 40 hours. Travelling is required for up to 16 weeks a year and you will be required to work extra hours, anything over 40 being paid as overtime.
Job specification:

• Planning activities with the children that will be fun and age appropriate
• Working in a team with mum and as nanny
• Preparing healthy nutritious meals for the children
• Assisting with family days out and events including play dates, birthday parties and family lunches
• Keeping play areas today and organised - cleaning up after meal prep etc
• Travelling with the family (up to 16 weeks a year)
• Packing and unpacking for travel

Candidate specification:

• Working with multiple children of similar ages is essential
• Someone kind, loving and patient who is flexible
• Comfortable with shared care with mum and dad but equally someone they can trust to look after the children in a sole charge capacity
• Fun and engaging with children
• Able to build a good relationship with the children
• Pet friendly - family have a dog
• Someone upbeat and energetic there are three children, you should be confident with this age group - ability to juggle their needs and get down on their level and engage in creative play
• Fluent English and great communication skills are required
• Love to travel- the family travel to South Africa every year
