Description :-

On behalf of a large dairy engineering business, a dairy engineer is required for the installation and repair of a full range of milking equipment and milking parlours. There is an existing customer base to cover the Southwest Midlands plus South and Mid Wales. Previous experience in a similar working environmental role with dairy and milking equipment is essential.

As a dairy engineer, you will enjoy being on the road , visiting farms to perform set-up and service of new and existing milking equipment. In addition, there will be a requirement to facilitate diagnostics testing, recognising faults, and rectifying and repairing on site. Candidates will be expected to support farmer customers by communicating technical benefits of its parlour and milking equipment packages.

As a customer focused position, you will enjoy helping people and demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as being enthusiastic, well organised, and dependable. Effective communication skills are essential to enable candidates to communicate confidently with customers.

Definite refrigeration, liquid cooling and milking machine engineering knowledge is needed for the job. It is expected this dairy engineer role will provide a strong working knowledge of dairy farm operations and management, across a variety of on farm, electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Good computer and IT skills are essential for this role

Candidates will be expected to attend the central office at least once or twice in normal working times. There will also be a need to travel through the company customer to attend on customer dairy farms.
