Dairy Herdsperson – Windsor Farms

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team caring for the historic Jersey dairy herd at Windsor Farms, established in 1856. This role will see you play a vital role in producing high-quality organic milk while upholding exceptional animal welfare standards.
Your responsibilities will include milking, feeding, and monitoring herd health, administering medicines, and supporting breeding and calving. You'll maintain accurate records using farm management software, operate and maintain equipment, and help optimise milk production and pasture management. Working collaboratively, you'll contribute to our biodiversity and conservation goals, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and organic standards.
We welcome applicants with experience in modern dairy farming, animal husbandry, and land-based health and safety. Knowledge of organic farming and conservation management is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work flexibly are key. A Level 3 Apprenticeship or Diploma in Agriculture (or similar) is desirable whilst a full driving licence, and proficiency with farm technology is essential
