The role involves strict adherence to standard operating procedures (PSOPs), maintaining high standards of health & safety, hygiene, and food quality. You'll monitor product performance, carry out quality tests, and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Strong communication is key, as you'll work closely with team leaders, QA staff, and maintenance personnel to resolve issues and support continuous improvement. The position also includes environmental responsibilities, equipment cleaning, and cross-training across production areas. A proactive attitude towards food safety, quality culture, and teamwork is essential
42 hours per week average, working a continental shift type pattern (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am). This post includes weekend work as part of a rotating schedule.
Essential:
Physically capable of regularly handling boxes up to 10kg and lifting weights up to 25kg when required
Agile enough to access all areas of plant and equipment
Demonstrates competent numeracy and literacy skills
Minimum of 6 months relevant work experience in a production or manufacturing environment
Knowledge of standards, equipment, and/or processes within a production or manufacturing environment
Understanding of safe working practices and what constitutes a safe workplace
Good communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate records
