Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Dairy Production Operator to join our cheese making team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of food products in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food production sector, with a focus on food safety and quality assurance. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of hygiene and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor food production machinery, adhering to standard operating procedures Ensure compliance with HACCP and other food safety regulations throughout the production process Conduct quality checks to maintain product consistency and safety standards Assist in the cleaning and sanitising of equipment and work areas to uphold hygiene standards Perform basic mechanical tasks such as troubleshooting equipment issues and minor repairs Record production data accurately, including quantities produced and machine performance metrics Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production line

Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is highly desirable but not essential Experience in food and/or cheese production or manufacturing environments is advantageous Mechanical knowledge or basic troubleshooting skills are beneficial Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Basic mathematical skills for measuring ingredients and recording data accurately Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:00

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,248.00 per year
