We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly driven Damage and Refurb Specialist to join our Fleet and Remarketing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing damage-related claims, ensuring that any issues related to vehicle damage are addressed efficiently and accurately.
You will collaborate closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to assess damage, recharge to customers and implement solutions to mitigate financial and operational impact.
This is a new role to Octopus so you will have the opportunity to make this your own.
What you'll do...
Communicate damage charges and handle customer complaints relating to damage recharging
Be data driven and comfortable building reports to present to the wider business on how we are measuring our damage recharging
Travel to Refurb Sites to inspect vehicles and provide customers with more imagery/ videos
Assess monthly invoices to check they are correct and raise any issues
Work with partners to find better processes to communicate the damages
Add information to damage such as a PPR so a driver understands why they are being charged
Challenge repair methods to save us, and drivers, recharge costs
Be up to date with IT Systems; Excel/Google Sheets (Vlookups etc) experience preferred, but not essential as we can provide training in this area
What you'll need...
To be able to be onsite up to 2 days a week at one of our partners (mainly Staffordshire)
Aged 25 & over for our insurance
Previous experience working in line with the BVRLA FWAT Guide
Experience within the car fleet & leasing world would be preferred
Ability to provide excellent customer service while handing difficult conversations with our drivers
Ability to work independently and use own initiative
Willingness to make the role your own - build it up and find efficiencies
Ability to create a good working relationship with partners and be happy to hold them accountable when something isn't right
A full driving license to be able to commute between refurb sites (mainly Staffordshire)
