We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team here at Mini Professionals Dance Academy- Oxford's leading dance school! In addition to a dance teaching role, we are seeking a candidate who can also act as Dance CPD officer, to help deliver our services to a range of sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for students of all ages. We'd love someone who has extensive dance education experience across different public settings.
The job will include:
Becoming the school's CPD officer in charge of creating and submitting material to the CPD certification service (this will be two courses per year initially)
Ensuring courses that they make are kept up to do date and any changes are re-submitted
Managing the CPD certificate service and ensuring all course attendees receive their certificate
Training MPDA teachers on the delivery of courses and delivering courses themselves
Applicants must be experienced dance teachers of a range of age groups or general education teachers with dance training.
Deliver engaging and structured dance lessons across various styles, ensuring that each class is tailored to the skill level of the participants.
Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes creativity, self-expression, and teamwork among students.
Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their technique and performance.
Organise and prepare for dance recitals, showcases, or competitions as required, ensuring all participants are well-prepared.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of dance trends and techniques to enhance the quality of instruction.
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
Ensure the studio space is clean, safe, and conducive to learning.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dance Instructor or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in one or more dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary) with the ability to teach others effectively.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying ages and abilities. (From Babies to adults).
A genuine passion for teaching dance and nurturing talent in others.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Proven work experience with CPD desired. Especially work within educational settings.
