Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background dance and a commitment to fostering a love for dance in students of all ages. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, teaching dance techniques, and inspiring students to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to the needs and skill levels of students. Teach Ballet and Modern ISTD, ensuring that students learn proper techniques and choreography. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and confidence. Organise and prepare students for performances, competitions, or showcases as required. Maintain an orderly and safe studio environment, ensuring all equipment is well cared for. Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall curriculum and student experience.

Skills

Proficiency in one or more dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary). Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying ages. Excellent organisational skills to manage lesson plans and class schedules effectively. A creative mindset with the ability to choreograph original routines. Patience and adaptability when working with diverse learning styles and abilities. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not essential; a passion for dance is crucial.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 8 per week

Monday to Friday Weekend availability
