Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students of all ages. As a Dance Instructor, you will play a vital role in developing students' skills, confidence, and love for dance. The person who is successful in this role would teach our Wednesday ballet, tap and street classes to classes with a 3-14 year age range (split into three age group classes) from 4pm-8pm with the potential to add more working hours depending on availability.

Applicants must hold a valid DBS and have previous experience in teaching all three dance genres.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students. Teach various dance styles, ensuring proper techniques and safety measures are adhered to. Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and creativity. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills. Organise and prepare for performances, recitals, and competitions as required. Maintain an orderly and safe studio environment. Collaborate with other instructors to develop comprehensive dance programmes. Stay updated with the latest trends in dance education and techniques.

Skills

Proficiency in multiple dance styles, including ballet, tap and street. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students. Patience and adaptability when working with diverse age groups and skill levels. Excellent organisational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and student progress. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to choreograph age appropriate routines for classes and performances. Previous experience working with SEN is useful but not essential.

Pay: 20.00-25.00 per hour
