BPDCompany (BPDC) is a welcoming and inclusive dance school offering high-quality training in a supportive environment. We are passionate about helping children and young people grow in confidence, develop strong technical skills, and enjoy their dance journey -- without unnecessary pressure.

We offer classes that run during term time in the following subjects:

Acro, Ballet, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, Jazz and Commercial Pop. And we belong to BTDA (British Theatre Dance Association) for our exams.

The Role

We are seeking someone who genuinely wants to be part of a team, not just teach a class and leave. This role is ideal for a teacher who values collaboration, consistency, and being actively involved in school life.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering well-planned, engaging classes that align with BPDC's values and training programmes Supporting students' technical and personal development Working collaboratively with the teaching team and school leadership Maintaining a professional, reliable presence within the school Actively participating in school events, performances, and wider school life

We are looking for someone who:

Is a qualified dance teacher (or in relevant training with appropriate experience) Genuinely wants to be part of a team and contribute to a shared vision Is reliable, organised, and takes pride in their work Is willing to make BPDC a priority and commit to the role Communicates clearly and professionally with students, parents, and staff

Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons in a variety of styles.
- Teach proper dance techniques, terminology, and choreography
- Create and adapt lesson plans to suit the needs and abilities of individual students
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills
- Prepare students for performances, competitions, or examinations

Skills
- Essential:
- Proven experience as a Dance Instructor or professional dancer
- Strong knowledge of different dance styles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Organisational skills to plan lessons effectively

- Nice-to-have:
- Qualifications in dance education or relevant certifications
- Experience working with children or specific age groups
- Choreography skills to create original dance routines
