Razzamataz Theatre Schools Sheffield are excited to be looking for experienced teachers in Dance, Singing or Drama to join our database for future cover opportunities. By joining our database of cover teachers, there will be opportunities to cover various dates/classes throughout the academic year and it is desirable for these teachers to be flexible should we required any last minute cover however we would welcome receiving availability in between contracts / similar also.

Successful candidates will have a natural affinity with children, a caring nature and a desire to help children develop and achieve to the best of their ability. Successful candidates will also be overflowing with energy, able to provide exciting and engaging lessons in Dance, Singing or Drama and will have a passion for inspiring the next generation of performers. They will also be organised, good communicators and great team players. Teachers will either be provided with material to deliver or will be required to deliver their own material - this will be subject to the amount of notice for cover and things such as the age group in question.

About Razzamataz

We are an award winning Theatre School providing training in Dance, Singing and Drama in both Musical Theatre and Commercial styles. We have a team of 20 highly trained teachers and assistants with professional performance commitments and we want to be able to support our team in pursuing these opportunities by providing flexibility to our school.

Our classes run on Saturdays during term time and are held at Meadowhead School, Dyche Lane, Sheffield S8 8BR. We have over 400 students who attend our school between 8.55-4.30pm in multiple classes with ages ranging from 2-18. The position is to join our cover database with opportunities to cover various dates/classes throughout the academic year and also flexibility for last-minute cover where possible, the hours will vary depending on the type of class/es requiring to be covered and full lesson plans will be provided. Experience of the Performing Arts, within the Dance, Singing or Drama disciplines is necessary and experience working with children is desirable.

Pay is determined by experience but is negotiable - the role by default will be self-employed with the opportunity to evolve into an employed position as they arise should that be desired.
