Excellent Opportunity for a Qualified Social Worker in Adult Social Care - Darlington
Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care Team in Darlington.
You will be part of a cohesive, supportive team of Social Workers, Community Assessment Officers, and Occupational Therapists, working under the guidance of the Team Manager and Senior Practitioners. About the Role:
The team delivers two key functions:
Front Door Service: Responding to initial contacts into Adult Social Care, including requests for needs assessments, safeguarding enquiries, advice and information about local services, and urgent or crisis situations.
Short-Term Casework: Providing focused social work interventions for up to 16 weeks with adults (aged 18+) across the Darlington area. This involves working proactively with service users, their families, carers, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
These roles will primarily focus on the casework element of the Adult Care Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Care Act-compliant assessments and develop support plans.
Manage a short-term, varied caseload of adults with complex needs.
Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners.
Ensure safeguarding principles and procedures are followed.
Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing in all aspects of practice.
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Experience working within Adult Social Care settings.
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
