Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from 43,100 to 54,000 and London 47,300 to 60,000 (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

Our Consumer Intelligence & Analytics (CI&A) team listens to what people are saying- across social media, review platforms and advice services- to understand experiences, highlight emerging risks and support thoughtful regulatory decisions.
We're looking for a collaborative Data Analyst to enhance our social media monitoring, develop intuitive dashboards and data tools, and contribute to inclusive consumer insights. This role offers a supportive environment to grow your analytical skills while making a positive impact on millions of people.
What will you be doing?Managing and supporting our social media listening tool to capture and interpret consumer posts, reviews and comments Analysing data from multiple consumer sources to identify key themes, risks and early warning signals Designing and maintaining Tableau dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights to colleagues Preparing, transforming and combining datasets using Tableau, Python and SQL to support data-driven solutions Engaging with teams across the FCA to understand their needs and deliver relevant consumer intelligence Sharing the work of the Consumer Intelligence & Analytics team and contributing ideas to improve how we use data and tools

Which skills are required?

MinimumPrior experience working with quantitative and/or qualitative data to create clear, engaging insights that support understanding Prior experience using data visualisation tools (ideally Tableau) and applying search techniques such as Boolean logic to explore patterns Prior experience communicating analysis in a way that's easy to follow, both in writing and when presenting to others

EssentialStrong understanding of data limitations and how to interpret findings with care and clarity Experience using social media listening platforms to explore consumer sentiment and emerging trends Confidence engaging with stakeholders to understand needs, shape priorities and support informed decision-making Ability to explore complex ideas and contribute to practical, sustainable solutions through communication and influence Well-organised and reliable, with a track record of meeting commitments and using tools like JIRA to support delivery Interest in consumer behaviour and a curiosity for spotting patterns, risks and opportunities in data
