Minimum Requirements

Proficiency in data modelling techniques

, including 3NF, star/snowflake schemas, and Data Vault 2.0, using modern modeling tools such as Erwin, PowerDesigner, or Sparx EA. Experience with version control systems is essential.

Proven experience creating and maintaining

data dictionaries, taxonomies, and reference/master data, with robust governance processes for ongoing maintenance.

Demonstrated ability to work with internal stakeholders

to define data-relevant use cases, success criteria, and business outcomes.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

, with the ability to convey complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Familiarity with both relational and non-relational data stores

, as well as modern data warehouse/lakehouse architectures and common ETL/ELT patterns and tools.

Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering

for data-centric initiatives, including translating business needs into logical and physical data models.

Knowledge of data lineage and impact analysis

, including use of tools like Solidatus or similar for documenting data flow and dependencies.

Understanding of data architecture best practices

, including scalability, maintainability, and performance considerations.

Ability to document current-state ("as-is") and define future-state ("to-be") processes

, including conducting gap analyses to inform data-driven transformation.

Exposure to data governance frameworks

, such as DAMA DMBOK, and practical implementation of data quality rules and controls.

Awareness of privacy and security-by-design principles

, including handling of personally identifiable information (PII), data minimization, and role-based access control (RBAC).
