THE ROLE



The Data Analyst role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of parcel delivery and returns processes. This position combines analytical expertise with administrative efficiency to support carrier operations, optimise logistics performance, and enhance the delivery and returns proposition.


A key aspect of this role is providing direct support to the Delivery & Service Manager and to the Carrier teams key business functions, enabling informed decision-making and operational agility. By delivering accurate data insights and maintaining robust administrative processes, this role helps drive service excellence and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING



Data Analysis:



Own & maintain the Carrier Operations Dashboard, which includes a variety of functional data & reporting Monitor KPIs such as delivery success rates, return volumes, transit times, and carrier performance & field out insight to enable the Delivery & Service Manager to use as part of their ongoing engagement with the Carrier base. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement Enhance the current dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, customer service, & finance). Support forecasting and capacity trends using historical data and predictive models that can be used to manage out to the carrier base.

Administrative Support:



Support our Internal key business support functions with general queries ranging from DC operations, Central Planning, Finance, and Tech. Assist in supporting our carrier partners and third-party providers to resolve queries. Handle internal queries related to parcel tracking, delivery exceptions, and returns queries Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Carrier claims support

Exciting projects you'll be involved in, led by the delivery and service manager:



Carrier Performance Scorecard:

Design and implement a monthly scorecard to benchmark carrier performance across key metrics.

Claims Reporting:

Build out a claims report that can be fielded out to both internal stakeholders & can be used to bring insight into our Carrier reviews to help drive claims

Returns Flow Optimisation:

Partner with operations to map and streamline the returns process, reducing turnaround time, cost efficiencies and improving customer experience.

Data Automation Initiative:

Help automate manual reporting tasks using tools like Power BI & Excel macros

Internal Orders & Staff delivery:

Support analysis of the current proposition & help implement a refreshed process that will deliver a streamlined, cost-efficient service.

Sustainability Reporting:

Support the creation of reports that track carbon footprint and packaging waste in the returns process.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR



Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce operations is a plus. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
