The Opportunity:





Working within the Enterprise Architecture Team, the purpose of this role is to develop the firm's data architecture, data models, processes and standards, to enable the effective use of data to deliver value



The role will work closely with business stakeholders, IT, data governance, compliance, security and third party teams to understand business needs and develop solutions in support of business objectives.



We are a global team of architects with, enterprise, solutions and domain specific architects (cloud, integration, security, network, business etc).

Key responsibilities of the role include:





We are seeking a talented Data Architect to join our team and contribute to the delivery of the firm's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Data Architect and familiarity with Microsoft data technologies such as Azure Databricks. Fabric and Purview.



You will collaborate with internal technical teams, third party implementation partners and business stakeholders to define requirements, create architectural designs, and oversee the successful implementation of solutions.


Develop data architecture roadmaps in support of business objectives. Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models to support the use of data across Ashurst. Develop data standards, policies, processes, data structures and architectures for data modelling and design. Simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost-saving opportunities in line with Ashurst policies and standards. Evaluate and advise on data collection, analysis and integration technologies. Aid efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management (MDM), metadata management, analytics, content management, and data integration.


This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working.

About you:





The successful candidate will have:


Prior experience as a Data Architect. Hands on experience of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling. Knowledge of Azure data services including Azure Databricks, Fabric and Purview for data governance. Ability to communicate complex data concepts in an engaging manner to technical and non-technical audiences. Understanding of data management issues. Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, TOGAF or similar.
