As a Data Collection Specialist, you will take ownership of client data collection projects, managing them from initial scoping through to delivery and close. You will work closely with internal colleagues in Business Development, Client Services, and Operations to design effective project approaches, ensure accurate and timely data collection, and deliver high-quality outputs to clients.



This role requires excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong eye for detail. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both client interaction and operational delivery, and who wants to develop expertise in data-driven services.

Job description

Project Management & Delivery

Manage end-to-end data collection projects, from scoping and setup through to delivery and closure. Work with Business Development and Client Services colleagues to define project requirements, timelines, and client expectations. Coordinate project kick-off, ensuring stakeholders are aligned and data collection processes are clearly communicated. Deliver clear and insightful presentations to external stakeholders on project outcomes and next steps. Monitor project progress against timelines and escalate risks or issues to the Service Manager as needed. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, to specification, and to a high standard of data quality.

Data Handling & Operational Delivery

Accurately collect, validate data in line with established processes and timelines. Prioritise tasks to ensure service levels and KPIs are met. Identify and escalate data inconsistencies, errors, or risks to the Service Manager. Maintain accurate records and ensure all updates are logged in the relevant systems. Support testing of new processes, tools, and technologies to improve delivery.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure quality standards are met, applying checks and validations as needed. Contribute feedback on operational processes and suggest improvements for efficiency or accuracy. Assist in maintaining clear, up-to-date process documentation. Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to strengthen team capability.

Collaboration & Team Support

Work closely with the team to balance workloads and share knowledge. Support colleagues with routine queries and tasks, fostering a collaborative team environment. Provide input into service reviews by highlighting recurring issues, common data challenges, or client queries. Engage with internal stakeholders (product, technology, data) when required to support service improvements.


Person Specification

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data. Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Clear communicator, able to follow instructions and escalate issues appropriately. Proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to learn and suggest improvements. Comfortable using data systems, spreadsheets, and other digital tools. Interest in environmental data, compliance, or sustainability (desirable but not essential).

Package

c. 27,000 per annum Permanent full-time contract (would consider some flexibility for the right candidate) 28 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays 5 x salary life insurance, 7% employer pension contribution, up to 10% bonus, employee health cash plan, paid sick leave, critical illness cover, 2 weeks workcation, options to buy additional holiday or unpaid leave, 3 days volunteer leave, happy to talk flexible working, remote working, wellbeing support, great office location, 250 home working set up payment. * Hybrid working: Employees are expected to work with colleagues (primarily at the office) at least 50% of the month
