Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing scalable data solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to be part of our IT Team. Proficient in building and maintaining robust data pipelines, managing cloud-based data storage, and developing efficient ETL processes to support data-driven decision-making.

Skilled in working with big data technologies and modern data architecture to ensure alignment with business objectives. Proven expertise in maintaining and enhancing Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Adept at transforming raw data into actionable insights through intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that drive strategic business outcomes.

Key Skills:



Excellent degree of knowledge of financial and operational information, data warehouse implementation and maintenance and experience working with unstructured data and information Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Excellent degree of IT competency and literacy, including proficiency in Azure services and knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services Demonstrate personal and professional integrity and lead by example Ability to work and contribute positively as part of a team and in isolation Ability to work accurately under pressure, adhering to deadlines and service standards Ability to design and implement ETL processes with Proficiency in data modelling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), SQL, PySpark languages Degree or Professional Qualification in STEM subjects Microsoft Certification in Data Engineering, Analyst domain

The role involves:



To demonstrate a high level of technical quality and service delivery To provide exceptional customer service at all times To participate positively and constructively as a team member, sharing knowledge and providing feedback and suggestions To create and maintain data pipelines to move data from various sources to storage solutions To work with Azure Data Lake Storage, Snowflake, Azure SQL Database, and other storage options to design scalable and performant data storage To develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Azure Data Factory to ensure efficient data movement and transformation To implement data processing workflows and pipelines to support data analytics, machine learning, and other data-driven decision making To ensure data architecture meets business requirements and optimize it for performance and scalability To implement metrics and monitoring processes to track the performance and health of data systems To develop and maintain business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. To transform raw data into clear and informative data visualizations, dashboards, and reports To design and develop data models that effectively support business requirements To work closely with various stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights To maintain the accuracy and integrity of data presented in reports and dashboards To communicate complex data insights clearly and understandably to non-technical stakeholders To document business critical data and reporting solutions implemented using above technologies

Hours of work:



Standard working week is 35 hours, Monday to Friday with flexibility to work from home /office.
