Job Summary



Arktis Endurance Textiles is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Data Engineer

for a 6-month contract. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and execute the complete data transfer from our legacy Management Information System (MIS) to a new

cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics MIS

. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and validation techniques to ensure a seamless and accurate transition, whilst working with the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central integration team.

Key Responsibilities



Data Migration:

Design, develop, and implement robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to transfer data from the existing source systems to the new MIS.

Data Quality:

Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and quality throughout the migration process.

System Integration:

Collaborate with the project team to integrate the new MIS with existing business systems and data sources.

Documentation:

Create comprehensive documentation for all data migration processes, data models, and system architecture.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve data-related issues, including data discrepancies and performance bottlenecks.

Maintenance:

Develop automated monitoring and maintenance plans for the data pipelines to ensure a smooth transition and reliable ongoing data flow.

Required Skills and Experience



Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in

data warehousing

,

ETL development

, and

data migration projects

. Direct experience with

Microsoft Dynamics

data structures and migration tools is highly preferred. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language for data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, SQL). Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases. Experience with a range of data pipeline tools and technologies (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt, Talend). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on a complex project.

Desired Qualifications



Experience with e-commerce data and systems. Familiarity with enterprise-level MIS platforms. Knowledge of data governance and security principles. Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or related technologies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Pay: From 2,500.00 per month
