We're on an exciting journey to transform how we manage and govern data. As part of this transformation, we're looking for a
Data Governance Manager
to lead the implementation and evolution of our Data Governance Framework. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact on how data is defined, protected, and used across the organisation.
What will I be doing?
Lead the rollout and maturity of the Data Governance Framework and associated tools.
Collaborate with business and data teams to define data ownership, quality metrics, and lineage.
Drive initiatives to improve data transparency, quality, and compliance.
Act as a point of escalation for data governance, quality, and protection issues.
Support 1st line Risk and Compliance activities for data systems.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
Deputise for the Head of Data Governance & Management when required.
What do I need?
Experience within Data Governance
Strong understanding of data concepts (e.g. warehousing, analytics, BI).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar tools.
Familiarity with data regulations in financial services.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience either line managing teams or coaching/mentoring others.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong planning skills.
