Job Summary

We are seeking a

Data Governance Manager

to lead the development and enforcement of data governance policies across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, security, regulatory compliance (especially GDPR), and enabling data-driven decision-making across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance Framework:

Design and implement robust policies, standards, and procedures for data quality, access, and usage.

GDPR & Compliance:

Ensure full compliance with GDPR and relevant data protection regulations.

Data Lifecycle Management:

Oversee data from ingestion to delivery, ensuring quality and integrity throughout.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with IT, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, and business teams for data integration and quality.

Data Strategy:

Develop and maintain enterprise data strategy and architecture, aligned with business needs.

Process Optimization:

Improve data processes for analytics, reporting, and BI tools.

Tools & Infrastructure:

Implement and manage data governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Varonis).

Risk & Security:

Identify and mitigate data risks; support cybersecurity and data protection efforts.

Monitoring & Reporting:

Establish metrics to evaluate data governance effectiveness and drive improvement.

Support Functions:

Handle DSARs, supplier compliance assessments (PQQ, SAQ), and collaborate with the external DPO.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in data governance, data protection (GDPR), and data quality management Proven experience with Microsoft Purview, Power BI, Excel, and data classification tools like Varonis Familiarity with data lifecycle management and master data practices Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience in defining roles and responsibilities for data stewardship

Desirable Qualifications

Bachelor's in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Law, or a related field Certifications such as CDMP, CDGP, CIMP, CIPP/E, or CGEIT Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus

Pay: 61,171.24-64,710.53 per year
