The wider Trading & Operations Transformations Team is spearheading the digital transformation of our Global Operations department, with Insights playing a critical role in unlocking data-driven intelligence that empowers strategic decision-making and accelerates operational excellence within the team and beyond.


Your role in the Team's Success

Analyse and monitor operational performance metrics to drive efficiency improvements and enhance service delivery across operations in IG Group. You will be embedded within the Trading and Operations Transformation team, working closely with Client Servicing, Payments, and Onboarding functions to identify opportunities that deliver tangible business value.


You will be an analytical voice within Operations, proactively identifying performance trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities whilst collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering, to translate insights into measurable operational impact.


What you'll do

Track and analyse operational performance across client servicing, payments, and onboarding operations Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering teams to develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards monitoring operational KPIs and beyond Drive cross-functional initiatives by providing analytical support for operational transformation and efficiency projects Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and quantify the impact of process improvements Generate actionable insights on process optimisation and automation opportunities Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, translating operational data into clear business cases

What you'll need for this role


==================================

Proven experience in operational analytics, business intelligence, or performance analysis Strong understanding of operational processes with the ability to connect metrics to business outcomes Self-starter mentality with demonstrated ability to identify and analyse opportunities independently Proficiency in SQL (experience with Google BigQuery preferred) and advanced data visualisation tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar) Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas Experience analysing operational workflows and service delivery metrics preferred Knowledge of financial services operations preferred Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights Strong business partnering skills with analytical curiosity and a proven track record of turning data into actionable improvements
