More and more mainstream news stories are based on selective analysis of the data and motivated reasoning. We are looking for a data journalist who enjoys fearless truth seeking and finding the flaws in lazy popular narratives.

Alongside our news and comment articles, we are publishing more and more analysis containing original data analysis, charts and compelling presentation of evidence. The data might come from reports, government statistics, polling, military data \xe2\x80\x94 anything where looking at the numbers can help to explain what\xe2\x80\x99s really going on.

We are now seeking a full-time data journalist to join us in shaping and enriching this critical aspect of our coverage.

Requirements

• Data Storytelling: Leverage your expertise to craft articles that make data not only understandable but also compelling, telling stories that resonate with our audience and describe the world as it is.
• Multidisciplinary Knowledge: Bring your knowledge in fields such as investigations, science, economics, opinion polling, or related areas to the table, enhancing our data-driven reporting.
• Data Interpretation: Be comfortable with numbers, databases, and the art of designing charts that convey powerful narratives.
• News Acumen: Exhibit strong news judgment, discerning what transforms data into a compelling story.
• Exceptional Writing Skills: Express yourself fluently and eloquently through the written word, ensuring our data-driven content is engaging and impactful.
