Job Overview


Cirencester Deer Park School, part of the Corinium Education Trust is recruiting for a skilled and motivated Data Manager to lead the management of data collection and input across all phases of education within the school. The successful candidate will ensure that all internal and external reporting requirements are met efficiently and accurately.

In addition, the postholder will be responsible for overseeing and constructing the curriculum timetable for all phases of education, ensuring effective organisation and support for teaching and learning across the school.

Responsibilities



Manage the school MIS records system ensuring that all data is complete, accurate and current. Assist with the allocation of pupils to teaching sets, liaising with Pastoral and Faculty Heads as appropriate. Input these to the school MIS and produce pupil timetables ensuring that all students have a complete timetable. Assist with the creation and maintenance of the school timetable using the school MIS. Produce the School Student Census return 3 times per year initiating collection of appropriate data and checking completeness and accuracy of information for submission to DfE. Produce the School Workforce Census return annually initiating collection of appropriate data and checking completeness and accuracy of information for submission to DfE. Create reports based on student data using the school's MIS and or other software such as Excel and mail merges. Create and update internal marksheets as necessary. Spellcheck and proofread all written reports and arrange correction where required. Check grades and reports are completed by appropriate deadlines and alert senior staff to any missing/late data. Print and arrange distribution of all student reports. Manage the collection of internal and external assessment data in the school MIS. This will include the production of data analysis spreadsheets/reports for use by SLT and HOFs. Support the extraction of data through the MIS of the GCSE exam results, creating results certificates for Year 11 pupils and data spreadsheets for use by SLT and HOFs. Ensure Free School Meals information is up to date and control the issue of canteen smart cards to students. Liaise with the LA, other schools and external agencies over data for new students and leavers. Manage system rights for the school MIS. Manage system updates and external data transfers.

Requirements



In order to undertake the range of tasks required the jobholder needs:

Excellent knowledge of MIS software, ideally Bromcom Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information received in the school Experience of using, creating, and developing complex spreadsheets including creation of formulas and formatting to produce desired outcomes Experience of analysing and manipulating data from a variety of sources to create reports Proficient in Office applications such as Excel and Word and internet for data transfers. A good understanding of curriculum structure, pupil assessment data and timetables is required. Knowledge of and adherence to GDPR and the data protection act

Pay: 30,024.00-32,597.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 per week
