We are looking for a

Data Manufacturing & Production Product Owner

to lead the delivery of high-impact, trusted data products which serve globally manufacturing & production processes. You will have end-to-end ownership of the data products within your scope - from shaping product vision and roadmap, to leading agile delivery and value realisation. Acting as the voice of the business, you will partner with stakeholders within your domain functions to translate needs into powerful data-driven solutions.


To build and evolve best-in-class data products with the highest ROI and user satisfaction, you will lead an agile squad of functional and technical data experts. You will be responsible for backlog definition, prioritisation, delivery coordination, and performance monitoring, while managing product-level budget and supporting successful rollouts and adoption.


You will have 7 main areas of responsibility:

Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for manufacturing & production data

(including Quality, Safety, Research & New Product Development)

Define and maintain the purpose, scope, and long-term direction of your data product(s), aligned with global priorities. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure your roadmap delivers tangible business value and is fully aligned to user needs and transformation goals.

Prioritise delivery and manage the product backlog and budget



Translate business priorities and opportunities into actionable user stories and backlog items. Assess effort and impact, facilitate estimation, and ensure prioritisation based on value. Maintain an up-to-date backlog and roadmap; clearly communicate these to business and delivery teams. Manage product-level budget and secure effective financial reporting where needed. Ensure agile ceremonies are in place to drive predictable delivery and squad alignment.

Drive product roadmap and coordinate the work of development team



Explain business needs & product backlog to development team, ensuring developed solutions are addressing business needs. Facilitate day-to-day interactions with the squad, anticipating & managing risks and interdependencies.

Lead system demo activities and rollout plan



Define objectives and acceptance criteria for features. Perform high-level fit-gap and change impact analysis in collaboration with Business Process Owners. Define the rollout roadmap and build supporting guidelines and templates to ensure successful product deployment and adoption. Optimise end-to-end product development process.

Represent the voice of the business



Collaborate closely with stakeholders across planning, logistics & inventory management to understand how data supports decision-making. Act as a key interface between business needs and technical delivery teams. Work closely with subject matter experts to deeply understand operational processes and data needs, translating them into actionable user stories and requirements.

Ensure product quality, compliance, and value delivery



Define success metrics, monitor adoption and feedback, and use data to guide continuous improvement. You'll ensure governance, privacy, and lineage standards are embedded within the product lifecycle. Track value realisation.

Support our transformation into a product-led, data-driven organisation



Champion best practices in data product thinking. Help embed ways of working, share lessons learned, and support a culture of iteration, learning, and delivery excellence. Optimise end-to-end product development process.

This position could be right for you if you:



At least 5 years of proven experience as a Product Owner (or equivalent), with significant exposure to complex, cross-functional delivery in data-rich environments - ideally involving manufacturing & production / operations data. Bring strong knowledge of manufacturing & production processes and how they relate to data and can represent the needs of stakeholders within corresponding functions. Are comfortable managing a product backlog and shaping feature delivery with agile teams. Understand the data lifecycle and how business needs are translated into data product features. Communicate clearly across technical and business roles and can influence without formal authority. Are a strategic thinker with value-driven mindset (e.g. for roadmap creation, value monitoring). Have practical experience with the modern data stack (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, dbt), cloud data platforms (e.g. Azure Data Lake), business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI), and working with ERP systems data. Care deeply about data quality, governance, and creating usable, scalable products. Have an interest in data mesh, data product thinking, and emerging data practices, with strong understanding of agile mindset and practices. Feel comfortable working in ambiguity and driving progress in fast-evolving environments.
