We are one of a very small number of comprehensive secondary schools in the North West to be awarded an Ofsted judgement of Outstanding (January 2023), and we are exceptionally proud of what this means for the pupils who attend our school and the staff who work here. As well as excellent GCSE results, that are well above the national average, pupils at Golborne receive a well-rounded curriculum and a wide range of opportunities for personal development beyond the classroom. We provide exceptional pastoral care for our pupils and a package of CPD for teaching and support staff that delivers opportunities for career development at all levels.
Under the leadership of a new headteacher since January 2024, Golborne is excited to continue our journey to delivering a world-class education for our students and to become a beacon of excellence at the heart of the community. We are the lead school for Generate Teaching Hub and work together with our partners to deliver school to school support, exceptional CPD and early career framework structures.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, suitably experienced and qualified person to join our school administration team. This role involves assisting with co-ordinating, tracking and analysis of progress and assessment data to ensure all stakeholders receive accurate and timely information. Additionally the successful candidate will support with the management of the curriculum, including setting and timetabling. We are in a position to appoint to this role as soon as possible, but the starting date will be negotiable for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, including English and Maths (minimum GCSE grade C / 4 or relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification), good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Please read the job description and person specification for full details before applying.
