Alert Data is looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a

Data Provisioning Coordinator

. This is a critical, hands-on role where you will oversee the end-to-end process of setting up and activating our managed data services.

The Role: Data Provisioning Coordinator



As a Data Provisioning Coordinator, you will oversee the smooth setup and delivery of connectivity services, from initial quotes through to service activation. You'll be the central point of coordination, keeping projects on track, coordinating teams and suppliers, and ensuring a positive experience for our customers.

We are looking for someone organised, proactive, and keen to suggest improvements to help our processes run even more efficiently.

Core Responsibilities



Quote Generation:

Create accurate quotes for our connectivity services, using information from our Sales team, internal subject matter experts, and standard pricing models.

Order & Process Coordination:

Oversee the process of setting up our services, including gathering requirements,

placing orders

, and tracking progress through internal systems and supplier portals.

Customer & Supplier Liaison:

Act as the main contact for customers, internal teams, and external suppliers, coordinating activities, managing expectations, and resolving queries to ensure timely service delivery.

Service Setup Coordination:

Work closely with technical teams to ensure services and equipment are installed according to customer requirements and technical specifications.

Problem Solving & Escalation:

Identify and help resolve any issues or delays in service setup, escalating when needed to keep projects on track and compliant.

Documentation:

Maintain clear and accurate records of all service requests, orders, and progress updates.

Service Excellence:

Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone involved.

Common Tasks



Gathering and documenting data and service requirements from customers. Placing and tracking orders via various supplier portals. Coordinating logistics for engineer visits and installations. Investigating and resolving data and order discrepancies. Regularly updating stakeholders on service installation status.

Required Skills & Experience



The Person



Highly Organised:

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple simultaneous orders and projects against tight deadlines.

Data Confidence:

Comfortable and confident handling detailed numerical and technical data related to service requirements, quoting, and tracking.

Proactive & Resourceful:

A self-starter who can take ownership of problems, analyse situations, and develop effective solutions.

Exceptional Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting with customers,

engineers

, and suppliers.

Team Player:

Skilled in collaborating and maintaining good working relationships with peers and other departments.

Essential Experience



Experience in a provisioning, coordination, or project support role, ideally within the UK telecom, ISP, or managed IT services sector. Demonstrated experience in order management and liaising with external carriers or suppliers for data/connectivity services. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation. Solid computer literacy, including the use of customer management or ticketing systems.

Advantageous Skills



These skills are advantageous but not required, as full training will be provided.

Knowledge of common telecom services (e.g., Leased Lines, FTTC, FTTP, 4G/5G). Experience in troubleshooting or understanding basic networking concepts. Experience with ITIL principles.
