You will be passionate about using data and statistics, working closely with key stakeholders to deliver high quality, insightful analytics to influence decision making in improving patient care and outcomes.
You will have extensive data analysis skills with a desire to fully understand questions and scenarios and have an ability to provide recommendations where the answers are not always obvious.
You will work both autonomously and as a part of a team across a portfolio of projects, providing expert knowledge of national standards, in-house designed and built statistical intelligence and insightful apps, promoting the proactive use of intelligence, and supporting the Trust's data driven strategy.

The post holder will work with the Data Quality team to provide analytics to the Trust, its Divisions, Corporate Functions, and Commissioners. They will support Divisions in interpreting routine and ad-hoc analytics to help them understand their Data Quality issues. They will also conduct audits to assess concerns and produce analytics to communicate problems and potential solutions to stakeholders.
The post holder will support the design and rollout of interactive dashboards (apps) and assist the Data Analytics and Assurance BI Developers during app development.
Strong technical and analytical skills are required to produce accurate and robust statistics and intelligence.
They will work autonomously and be innovative, delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines. To support this, they will maintain knowledge of stakeholder priorities and current organisational issues to effectively manage and prioritise their workload.
The post holder should also understand the Trust's strategic direction and external environment to identify and respond to variations from local or national analytics trends.

To take a lead role in the implementation and monitoring of reporting mechanisms to improve management decision making processes.
To take responsibility for supporting the Trust's Divisions in submitting project request forms to the Data Analytics and Assurance directorate.
To manage appropriate Data Quality projects through to delivery.
To assist in the provision of Data Quality intelligence and advice to senior persons throughout the Trust, including Divisional Directors of Performance, Performance Managers, Divisional Heads of Department and other managers within the Trust's Divisions.
To meet with stakeholders to ensure that any potential Data Quality issues are identified quickly enough for action to be effective.
To be accountable for any intelligence produced, validated, or submitted by the post holder.
To undertake process mapping so Data Quality issues can be understood fully to inform accurate reporting requirements and aid improvement.
To support Data Quality improvement within the division by providing analytics and guidance on measurement, reporting and data capture requirements.
In conjunction with the Analytics team, produce and review regular weekly and monthly Data Quality performance reports to disseminate to key divisional contacts. Provide advice and support to divisional staff to aid the interpretation of the reports and alerts to key managers with regards to anomalies and adverse variances.
To liaise with the Trust's accountants to ensure a full understanding of Data Quality activity / issues affecting financial performance so that the Trust's Divisions can be supported with appropriate intelligence in understanding pertinent action and decisions necessary to rectify poor performance.
To play a key role in obtaining divisional agreement and ownership of Data Quality performance targets.
To liaise with other members of staff in the Data Analytics and Assurance directorate to ensure consistent reporting of Data Quality activity and performance.
To contribute to Data Quality improvement plans through routine reviews and monitoring of performance, providing briefing reports with summaries of findings and recommendations to Directors of Performance and Divisional Managers.
To work closely with and safeguard sensitive and confidential data for ad-hoc requests.
To liaise with other departments and outside agencies to ensure that all deadlines, particularly tight deadlines, are met.
To perform complex patient-based analytics on data from the Trust's systems, using data source primarily from (but not exclusively) the Data Warehouse and the Trust's Qlik Sense applications.
To participate in Data Quality investigations and audits as necessary, ensuring any issues are recorded and followed up, and that processes are put in place to reduce the risk of reoccurrence.
To attend and participate in Trust training programmes, both within the department and with multi-disciplinary audiences.
To act ad a catalyst within the Trust to develop and maintain a 'Get It Right First Time' culture by providing advice, guidance, and general support on Data Quality issues.
To design and develop Data Quality metrics in conjunction with Trust staff, both clinical and non-clinical.
To work on other multimedia projects within the team as requested, using other design software at the post holder's disposal to create the necessary media for a variety of projects.
To maintain an awareness of national developments within the NHS and the wider Data Analytics and Assurance community.
To work with end-users in assessing their Data Quality reporting needs to share with the BI Developers who are producing Qlik Sense apps (web-based documents that provide this intelligence).
To conduct briefing sessions and training days in relation to the use and interpretation of the Trust's Data Quality Qlik Sense applications.
To document all procedures and work closely with other Data Analytics and Assurance staff and the wider Trust to ensure the ongoing improvement of Trust recording and use of information.
To support the Trust's Data Analytics and Assurance strategy / agenda.
To attend divisional / corporate meetings as required.
To fully interpret and understand current data definitions and definitional issues in relation to areas of specialism and personal knowledge in this area as and when ISN or new Department of Health definitions are drafted or formally issued.
To troubleshoot issues regarding Data Quality datasets and to consistently work toward improving and automating the processes with other Data Analytics and Assurance staff.
To research and recommend innovation (and where possible automated approaches) for Data Quality reporting.
To liaise with other Trust staff as appropriate.
To assist with the production of sophisticated models, analytics and forecasts using statistical models, methods, and processes.
To provide an opportunity for one-to-one advice and discussion with individual Trust staff who require support with Data Quality issues.
