We are seeking an experienced

Data Quality Lead

in Belfast to join our client's global operations team, supporting the

Head of Data Operations

in delivering a high-profile reference data clean-up initiative. You will play a pivotal role in driving the accuracy and integrity of party data (customer and trader records), while mentoring a team and collaborating across business and technology functions.


This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position within a leading financial institution, where your work will directly impact operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic data management.

Your Key Responsibilities:



Lead and mentor

a sub-team of analysts, setting priorities, providing coaching, and overseeing delivery of data cleansing activities. Analyse party and trade data across multiple systems to assess recency and reliability of static data. Validate data to ensure it meets the highest standards of completeness, accuracy, and consistency. Conduct

gap analysis

to identify and address client data requirements. Partner with Operations and IT teams to resolve complex data issues through process enhancements or system development.

Support technical change

by gathering requirements, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and offering post-release support. Create and deliver

management information (MI) reports

to support service reviews with senior and regional stakeholders. Help design and implement process improvements to ensure compliance with

regulatory changes

affecting operations data. Perform hands-on data entry and updates within the firm's master data system when needed.

What You Bring:



Essential:



3-5 years of overall experience, with

1-3 years in people or performance management

roles in Financial Services. Deep attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive mindset. Proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

and familiarity with broader MS Office tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills--verbal and written--tailored for different audiences.

Desired:



Knowledge of financial markets and trading environments. Previous experience in a similar data governance or operations function. Experience with

Power Query

, or similar ETL/data transformation tools.
