BTHFT Maternity Service went live with CERNER Maternity electronic patient record (EPR) in 2022 and we are looking for enthusiastic clinical midwives with an interest in Digital records, Digital transformation and Data Quality, to work as part of a small team who will monitor and improve the quality of maternity data generated by CERNER Maternity EPR by supporting staff in the clinical areas to improve and sustain high quality electronic record keeping and data entry.



As a member of the Maternity Digital team, you will contribute towards the ongoing development of digital maturity and sustainability, keeping women, babies and their families at the centre of everything we do.



We welcome applicants from a range of clinical backgrounds, including community midwifery, intrapartum and inpatient areas, to ensure that Data Quality is the best it can be in all areas of the service.

Responsible for reviewing weekly data reports produced by Business Intelligence (BI), identifying frequently occurring inputting errors and supporting staff to rectify errors



The Data Quality Midwife will be accessible and visible to staff



Work closely with the Digital Midwife and IT colleagues to help achieve maximum functionality from the Maternity IT System



Escalate any issues or concerns raised by staff using the Maternity IT system, regarding functionality, to the Digital Midwife and/or IT colleagues



Support the Digital Midwife in Appropriate dissemination of system changes to relevant staff



As part of the maternity team contribute towards planning the strategy for the maternity service to develop it's digital maturity



Represent the Digital Midwife/Maternity Service at local, regional and national Digital Maternity events , sharing any learning/information with the wider team
