Job Description

Fasanara is offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Science Intern as part of our Off-Cycle Internship Programme. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about data analysis and its application in the financial industry. Interns will work closely with experienced data scientists and analysts, participating in real-world projects that aim to leverage data for insight and decision-making.


As a Data Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data cleaning, analysis, and model building. You'll be contributing to initiatives that enhance our data analytics capabilities and support our investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in data collection, processing, and analysis from various sources. Develop and implement predictive models and algorithms to drive data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with teams to interpret and communicate results as actionable insights. Participate in the design and development of dashboards and visualization tools for reporting purposes. Support ongoing data science projects and contribute to the enhancement of processes.

Requirements



Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python. Understanding of transformer-based LLM architectures (e.g. GPT, BERT) and experience applying them to document understanding or NLP tasks Basic knowledge of data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, Tableau). Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. Comfort working in a collaborative environment with version control (Git), issue tracking (e.g., Jira), and documentation tools. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to present findings effectively. A desire to learn and grow within the field of data science.
