Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity at AGS Airports Limited for a Data Scientist to join our Data & Business Intelligence Team. The team are leading a data transformation project at AGS Airports, and this role will be an integral part to help surface data and insights to the business from our new Microsoft Fabric Platform. This is a full time, permanent role and will be based at Glasgow Airport, with travel to other group airports from time to time.

As a Data Scientist you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying and maintaining AI tooling for the business using a variety of data sources that provide insight and help promote a culture of data driven decision-making.

Principle accountabilities

Work with business stakeholders to help solve data related business challenges Work with the wider data team to help provide technical data-driven solutions Using best practices, design, develop, test and deploy AI models within Microsoft Fabric for business consumption Collaborate with wider data team to maintain high-quality data Documentation of processes to support knowledge sharing

Qualifications and experience

We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about data, who will need:

Essential

Experience in a role involving data science Structuring, analysing data and building statistical or machine learning tools Fluency in data science programming languages (R, Python) Experience working with multiple data sources. Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Fluent in SQL

Desirable

PBI or other visualisation tool experience Team player - desire to help the wider data team deliver from time to time Proactive with a desire to continuously learn Degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, artificial intelligence, Operational Research, Computer Science, Information Management Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Uses initiative. Adopts a "can-do" attitude.
