About the role

The successful candidate will join an expanding team of solution architects within the Ascent CTO Office. Your role will involve engaging with business and technical teams of prospects and customers, providing consultation to comprehend requirements, align suitable Azure technology, identify opportunities for Ascent\'s technology accelerators, and take ownership of the technical implementation to ensure a successful transition into delivery.

Our solution architects aim to be 50% billable on client work, spend 25% of their time on presales engagements and 25% of their time on innovation, following new trends, building out new propositions, blogging, etc.

What you\'ll do

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Tech Leads, and Delivery Managers, to shape and deliver innovative technology solutions for clients.
  • Identify and explore customer needs from both technical and functional perspectives.
  • End to end presales solution architecture of cloud data platforms and supporting technologies.
  • Build architecturally elegant solutions that are deliverable and achievable.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Ascent\xe2\x80\x99s data and AI accelerators.
  • Technical oversight of project delivery to ensure that the envisaged architecture is realised.
  • Create and present compelling proposals based on business value and return on investment.
  • Evaluate new technologies, monitor trends, and incorporate into Ascent\xe2\x80\x99s reference architecture.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders at a senior level through to C-suite level.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Ideal qualifications and skills
  • Proven experience as an Azure Solution Architect in Microsoft Data and AI.
  • Extensive, hands on, current experience in Azure data and AI technologies, like Synapse, Databricks, Spark, Python, GitHub, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, Cognitive Services, Purview, etc.
  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills.
  • High Level understanding of Azure infrastructure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and techniques and testing frameworks.
  • Commercial Agile software development experience.
  • Experience of costing solutions and managing impact on project deliverables.
  • Experience in a variety of types of organization from SMC to Enterprise.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, writing, presenting)
  • Preferably Microsoft certified.
